Release Notes – June 2026
This combined release delivers new customer-facing features, performance improvements, and important bug fixes to enhance your experience.
New Features
Spaceman Shop Discount Scheme and Page Redesigns
Discounts configured by the operator are now visible to occupiers throughout the booking process. The sizecode selection page has been redesigned with new card-based layouts that display discounted pricing alongside original prices, making savings immediately visible. The checkout page has had a full redesign following new design specifications, showing a discount notice and repositioned layout elements. The basket has also been fully redesigned with updated item components that clearly present discounted totals. Occupiers can now see their savings at every step of the booking journey.

Insurance Selection Redesign
The insurance selection experience in Spaceman Shop has been completely redesigned. Insurance now has its own dedicated page (moved off the Pay Now modal), featuring new card designs for selecting plans including single-plan, multiple-plan, and variable cover options.

Occupiers can view their basket in real time on the Insurance page, edit their insurance selection directly from the basket, and configure goods value and own/no-insurance choices all in one place. The page is fully responsive for mobile devices.
Session Management Overhaul
A comprehensive update to how user sessions and authentication are managed across Spaceman Web, consolidating authentication functionality into a new shared session class with improved validation, security, and reliability.
Stripe Demo Mode
A new "Demo Mode" has been added for Stripe payment processing, allowing demonstration environments to function with test payments without requiring live Stripe credentials. This enables easier onboarding and training experiences.
Improvements to existing features
Multi-Instance Hub Port Assignment
For operators running multiple instances, the system now uses a deterministic method to assign communication ports based on the engine number. This prevents port conflicts and ensures reliable connectivity between components.
Bug fixes
This release includes 2 bug fixes across Spaceman Web and Spaceman Desktop, delivering the following benefits to customers:
- Improved access control reliability: Resolved an issue where essential zone and goods value data was not being included when creating new sub-contracts, which caused failures when integrating with access control systems.
- More reliable report exports: Fixed an issue where certain report output formats were producing errors. All supported export formats now function correctly for operators generating reports.
